Meet the Photographer

PPA member (Professional Photographers of America)

Welcome!  I am so glad you stopped by to learn a little bit about the lady behind the lens.  Here are just a few random pieces of information about me:

I am a mother to two of the funniest and brilliant little girls, and wife to the most humble and handsome man.  Those two titles I hold closest to my heart.

I love all things cozy, and I believe your home can never have too many candles, blankets, pillows, and friends.

There are no words to describe how much I love to read but I can never remember titles or authors.

Nature brings me so much joy and peace, even though I am allergic to grass.

I love mathematics and find it incredibly soothing to solve a math problem.  I have a bachelor’s degree in math and education, a master’s degree in literacy, and if I could I'd forever be taking classes.

Lastly, I believe in giving. Whether that be your talents, advice, knowledge, creativity, etc.  We were all placed on this earth because we have something amazing to offer. For 10 years I taught high school math, enjoying every second, but never lost my passion for the arts. My entire life I have worked with children of all ages and understand that childhood is beautiful yet fleeting.  And it's because of all this that I limit the number of photo shoots I book.   This allows me to not miss out on the important moments in the lives of my family and in the process I become energized and excited to photograph you!

My goal is to produce a beautiful collection of photographs that last a lifetime. Simple, natural, and timeless are all words I would use to describe my photographs. Natural light is my best friend, and provides the most beautiful element in most of my work. In my mind, photography is not something that can be achieved. I know the importance of education, and continue to take classes, read, and practice to this day.

A special thanks to my mom for taking these photos!
Please note: I do not wear heals or look nearly this put together during an actual shoot.
