HULA HOOPS!  You know you are going to have a fun photoshoot when your subject brings a hula hoop. Enter Wryann, a tall, gorgeous, fun loving, sweet young lady who happens to be my first senior photoshoot this year. If I could bottle her energy and sell it I would be a millionaire.  We talked a lot about Wryann's love of reading and writing.  She also has a lot of school spirit... did I mention she attends the same high school where I used to teach?  Some photography occurred during all this chatting, and boy, posing was very natural for her.  In the slim chance that Tyra Banks is reading this, your Next Top Model is here!

Sometimes I feel as though I neglect my little blog.  With more and more clients I have less time to update.  This may come as a surprise to some, especially my husband, but I am not perfect.  There, I said it.  And sometimes I forget to add a photoshoot to the blog.  Slap me on the wrist with a ruler!  Here is a fabulous photoshoot I did with some fabulous women back in January!  I think these ladies prove that to be beautiful, gorgeous, and just plain sexy does not involve taking your clothes off.

Brother and Sister Photoshoot {Professional Photography Syracuse, NY}

Aeropostale models.  This is the first thing that popped in my head when Matthew and Abbey walked through the door.  When I first started this photography adventure I took some photographs of Abbey.  I must say she has grown into a beautiful young lady and her dance ability has grown with her.  Matthew is still that same funny and sweet guy I remember meeting.  I pose my clients, and I was pleasantly surprised at their natural ability to follow my directions.  We ended the photo shoot with Abbey showing me some of her skills and Matthew taking over the camera.  With a couple setting changes and a quick lesson on focus points, Matthew snapped some incredible shots.  Both Abbey and Matthew have bright futures ahead of them.  What a great way to spend a morning!

Parker {Newborn photographer Syracuse, NY}

As an expectant mother you have the option of having your newborn photographed in my studio or in your home.  I understand the time and effort required to get the family ready, along with yourself, and travel to a studio.  For Parker's photo shoot I traveled to his home with gear in hand.  Upon arriving I was greeted by his handsome big brother, a sweet cat that wanted to get in the shots, and a large dog that just wanted to lay in a patch of sunshine. Now this is a home!  Parker was an easy going and adaptable baby.  I made sure to get a few snuggles in before I left.  And like a lot of my photo shoots I laughed so hard my face hurt.  I would love to disclose what occurred but what happens during the session stays at the session... well unless my clients want to tell.  Let's just say I will never forget this session and I don't think the S family will either.  Much love -Ann

Spring is here! {Syracuse NY photographer}

Living in Syracuse you never know when spring will truly arrive.  Well, with 60-70 degree weather, I have to say I believe it is here.

Within the first 5 minutes of Melissa walking in the door I knew it was going to be a fun photo shoot.  Don't let her petiteness fool you, she has a large personality and some pretty cut arms (jealous sigh).  I'm used to women bringing lots of clothes and accessories, and boy did Melissa.  I was instantly back in school helping a girlfriend figure out what she was going to wear Friday night.  And the shoot was just as fun.  Have you ever laughed so hard you cried?  Well that was us!  I'm not about to expose what occurred but I will say that  my next purchase will be an electric fan ;)

Soon-to-be mother of 2 {Syracuse,NY Maternity photography}

I always get a little giddy when I hear someone is pregnant.  Call me an old sap but I just love the thought of a new soul being born.  Well this was no exception when I found out Hayley was expecting.  I couldn't wait to photograph her and her handsome (and unbelievably well-behaved) son.  Hayley was such a trooper as I had her sitting, then standing, then laying down, then doing advanced yoga positions.... ok, that's a little much but you get the idea.  And let's not forget her son quietly sitting off to the side playing with his Thomas the train.  I got to learn all their names and even watch him perform some Karate moves while mom was changing.  Such a wonderful photo shoot and I can't wait to meet the little one.  Can you guess what she's having?
