Packaging {Photographer Syracuse}

Only the best for my clients!  Lots of prints coming in this week and to be honest, I love the packaging process!

Booked {Syracuse NY Professional Family Photographer}

This has been such a wonderful year!  As I've stated before, I only book a limited number of clients per month.  I do this to ensure that my clients get nothing but my undivided attention and time.  I take care while editing the photographs; fixing acne, removing wrinkles, correcting white balance, removing distracting items in the photo, my creativity, etc.  I am not the type of photographer to rush this process and have a swinging door policy.  I am fortunate that my clients understand this and book me months in advance.  I feel blessed.  Because of this I have never had to advertise.  All my clients have been through word-of-mouth and nothing can top that.  Unfortunately that also means having to turn people away.  This is the worst feeling and I wish there were more time in the day.  I appreciate everyone's business and hope to meet many more people in 2014 because I am completely book for 2013!

The B Family { Family and Child Photographer, Syracuse}

A couple weekends ago I opened my door to find 7 smiling faces, 5 of those smiles from little adorable faces.   Now some may envision 5 children running around throwing my camera across the room while I am duck taped to a chair... too dramatic?  Not this super family.  The children are not only sweet, they are polite, and just plain darling.  It's no surprise when you know the parents, they are just terrific and I admire their parenting abilities.  Each child had such a unique personality, and I tried to capture that...

Soon-to-be mother of 2 {Syracuse,NY Maternity photography}

I always get a little giddy when I hear someone is pregnant.  Call me an old sap but I just love the thought of a new soul being born.  Well this was no exception when I found out Hayley was expecting.  I couldn't wait to photograph her and her handsome (and unbelievably well-behaved) son.  Hayley was such a trooper as I had her sitting, then standing, then laying down, then doing advanced yoga positions.... ok, that's a little much but you get the idea.  And let's not forget her son quietly sitting off to the side playing with his Thomas the train.  I got to learn all their names and even watch him perform some Karate moves while mom was changing.  Such a wonderful photo shoot and I can't wait to meet the little one.  Can you guess what she's having?

Mother and Daughter Photo Session {Syracuse NY Beauty Photographer}

What do you get when 2 tall, blue-eyed blondes walk into a portrait studio?  Perfection, of course!  Donna and her daughter, Becky, booked a session together to get some beauty portraits and have some fun.  The laughter was contagious!  The connection that this mother and daughter have is natural and something I strive to have with my little ones.  After reviewing the photos, I found it hard to believe that Donna is the mother of 3 adult children!  And Becky proves that if you are beautiful inside you will be beautiful outside.  Much love to these lovely ladies.   Mwah.

Child of the 60's {Syracuse, NY Professional Child Photographer}

So what do you do when you have a fabulous 60's style dress from Baby Gap?  Well you take a stunning photograph, of course.  Isla just loved getting her hair curled and teased; and let's not forget the "high heels" she got to wear.  The 60's never looked better!

Glamorous Photos { Not boudoir... better, Syracuse NY photographer}

I have often wondered why there is only boudoir photography for women.  Why can't we have beautiful photographs of ourselves that doesn't require lingerie?  Don't get me wrong, I think well done boudoir photography is stunning.  I've decided to start something new for the Syracuse area, and that is The Beauty of You sessions.  Some might call this Glamour photography but I'm old enough to remember the Glamour shots from the 90's and I don't want that confused with what I do.  I will be posting more photos on some recent Beauty of You sessions I've done but for now here is my ad.

The F Family {Syracuse, NY Family photographer}

I was contacted by this family because they wanted family portraits but they were having difficulties getting the kids to cooperate.  Challenge accepted.  The mother and I went to high school together and she is still the sweet person I remember.   In fact, the entire family is great!  It was great catching up and I just enjoyed the energy the children had.  And don't let those sweet little faces fool you, those children are both tough cookies!  xoxo- Ann

Drum Roll Please...{New Photo Studio, Syracuse NY}

When I first thought of starting my own photography business I knew I wanted to open a home studio.  This would be easier to be with my children and I wanted a space that was more relaxed, and cozy for children and new moms. Parking is easy!  I decided to use our formal living room which has gorgeous natural light all day. My husband and I immediately began working.  Along with a new floor we changed base boards and did lots of painting.  Designing was very easy for me.  I do not like clutter, I love furniture that is rustic, and I wanted a space clean and fresh.  I am so glad that I put forth the money, effort, and time to complete this.
A recent client told me she was unsure of going to a photographer with a home studio. She describe a bad experience with a previous photographer's home studio. Upon arriving at the photographer's home she and her daughter were brought down into a dark, cluttered, unfinished basement for their photos. She was relieved to find my studio very professional. I decided I should post a photo showing potential clients what my home studio looks like, and to also publicly thank my husband for all his hard work making my studio what I had envisioned.

Some of my gear and a wrap around canvas of my daughter.
Look at this gorgeous natural light... who needs that flash when you have mother nature?

My welcome table, business cards, music catered to the clients taste, and a little drink.

My youngest daughter's beautiful smile on a stand out.
Another little gallery of some wonderful clients.

 Just a couple of many backdrops.  I prefer seamless paper over anything else... well with an exception of mother nature.

Gosh I just love these chairs!

I am still waiting on some more studio lighting and French doors but I would say it's looking fab :)
